USAA  |  "Masters of the Air"
Exclusive Screenings and Contextual Alignment.

Just ahead of its global premiere, Recurrent Military collaborated with USAA to host two exclusive screenings of Apple TV+’s "Masters of The Air" for the military community. These screenings took place at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana, and at the National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.

During memorable evenings filled with camaraderie, celebration, and breathtaking aerobatics, active duty service members, veterans, and their families enjoyed museum tours, cocktails, and hors d'oeuvres underneath the wings of the planes featured in “Masters of the Air”.

STEERING IN THE SKY

We explored the navigational techniques employed by WWII B-17s as they soared through the air. From Radio Triangulation to Celestial Navigation and Dead Reckoning, our team detailed the intricate methods utilized by navigators to chart their course through the sky.

BEHIND THE STRENGTH

When it comes to taking battle damage and staying in the air, there is one aircraft that flies mightier than the rest: The B-17 Flying fortress. Here, we illustrate how the B-17 contributed to Allied victory during WWII.

THE MIGHTY 8TH

It's been called the greatest air armada ever assembled. In this video, we reveal how the 8th Air Force rose to dominate the skies over Europe and how they paved the way for the Allied ground invasion.

B-17 BY THE NUMBERS

Striving for air superiority, the 100th Bomb Group completed 8,630 missions over German-occupied Europe in less than two years. Their mission: to dismantle enemy production and morale, resulting in the delivery of nearly 20,000 tons of bombs.

AN EVENING TO REMEMBER!

Collaborating closely with local military public affairs offices, we successfully packed both theaters, welcoming a diverse audience of over 570 active duty and reserve Air Force personnel alongside veterans from the surrounding communities.

EDITORIAL SUPPORT

With the screening events on the horizon, Recurrent Military drafted a mixture of branded and organic editorial content in support of Masters of the Air to get our audience excited about the film. These articles encouraged the participants of our social networks to engage, comment, and share content, fostering an on-going conversation about the limited series.
